Small Town Roots, Global Reach

Established in 1955, I-K-I is one of the longest continuously operating companies in the aerosol industry. It was built on hard work, ingenuity and founder Stanley Midtbo’s solid Midwestern values.

Stanley and his lifelong partner Marilyn Midtbo began working in a small local factory after World War II. They grew the business steadily over the first few decades as the aerosol industry began to flourish and marketers increasingly adopted aerosols for their products.

Insect Killers Incorporated, as it was known in the beginning, has concentrated on providing services in specialized product areas and providing top-notch service. The company has a unique competency with hazardous, flammable and difficult to fill products, as well as EPA and other products that required a high degree of technical and regulatory oversight.

The company operates two manufacturing locations, both in Southern Wisconsin, about two hours North of Chicago. It has grown from a small shop in an old metal hut, now encompassing a 30 acre campus with 175,000 square foot of manufacturing and storage space.
